Singapore's 'bird market'

This is a strange sort of article on Singapore. There is some social commentary there, but it's as if the themes crisscross and interweave and end nowhere except in a sort of exotic-Zen-transcendental-urban-traditional-dreamscape of Singapore... I could imagine this being made into one of those arty short films.
